If you are an advance user and have multiple network cards then you will have to program your network settings for the network card attached to the TriNet with following parameters:
IP on PC 192.168.24.2

36 - How do I use the TriNet behind a Firewall?

When setting up the TriNet behind a firewall, the TriNet calls do not work. This could be because the firewall does not allow the traffic out or in based on the ports requested.Because firewalls are used to secure the internal network from attacks from the public network, they typically have many of the port numbers required for VoIP disabled or closed from being accessed. If they are closed, then you will not be able to get VoIP calls between your internal network and anywhere on the public network. In order to make this work, you will need to re-configure your firewall to open inbound and outbound port(s) for VoIP. Below is a list of port numbers, protocols, and uses that you will need to open to make and receive phone calls and please ensure that there is no blocking on outbound port:

37 - What if the TriNet does not have a WAN IP address?

First verify that your Cable/DSL Modem is working properly. If both the router and your modem are working properly reboot all devices on your network, Cable/DSL modem, router, TriNet and PC. If you are using a router make sure the router is configured as a DHCP server otherwise please assign a static ip address to the TriNet (user mode).

38 - What is the default long distance password in the TriNet when accessing the TriNet via the GSM phone number (option 3)?

  1111

37 - Are we using the GSM network of national telecom operators without paying them anything? Are we taking advantage of them without giving them something in return? In that case, what will they say about this when the TriNet is commonly used?

No at all, our customers will purchase a GSM card and air time from a GSM provider. The TriNet is not more than another cell phone in the GSM network to the cell phone company. We will use their network to carry the calls between cell phone or land lines to the TriNet gateway just like a cell phone (receiving and making calls).

38 - What broadband connection/quality (mbit/sec) is recommended for a company that wants to have faultless telecommunication via the TriNet?

64kb is the minimum bandwidth requirement for up to 4 high quality calls. The TriNet software will give priority to the voice traffic versus internet traffic to maintain high quality calls.

39 - Will the TriNet soon be out in newer versions, with more SIM card slots for example? And in that case will there be a chance for recent customers to upgrade by any software or hardware compliments?

We will continue to improve the TriNet software and features. At the moment there are no plans to add additional cell phones to the TriNet. The software upgrades are free. We have the ability to upgrade the units remotely as soon as they connect to our network.

40 - Could two cell phone users of a TriNet S2 call for free to each other?

Yes, The calls within our network are free. In theory the cell phone provider for both the TriNet and the customer cell phone is the same, making the calls between the TriNet and the customer potentially free.

41 - How do I set up a local are network through the TriNet S1?

Trinet is a router with a complete C class of IP address (192.168.24.X is the default IP address of the LAN). The LAN IP Class can be change to any private ip address to accommodate any private network. In order to configure or change the LAN ip address. Log on to the TriNet by connecting a PC to one of the LAN ports of the TriNet and open a web browser go to http://192.168.24.1 and log on to the TriNet as user name admin and password iconnect.and click on TCP/IP settings on the left hand side menu then on WAN and LAN Settings and on the bottom of the page change the LAN ip address to the desired ip class address. Press apply on the bottom of the page then click on 5 System management on the left hand side menu and then on 5.4 Reboot and click on Reboot on the right side window. As soon as the unit reboots you should be able to start using your TriNet.

42 - Am I able to change my current US number to a new area code? Am I able to add a new US number?

Not at this time. We will offer this feature in the very near future. Please check back with us in about a month.

43 - How do I connect the TriNet into a corporate PBX? Do I have to do something different if a firewall exists

There is no additional configuration required to theTriNet in order to connect to a PBX. Connect the SLT1 and SLT2 ports to your PBX just like you would connect a line from your PSTN provider. The TriNet will give dial tone to your PBX. As far as Firewall, The TriNet requires at least the following open ports: 5060 thru 5068 UDP, 1976 thru 13120 UDP, 80 TCP for HTTP and 69 and 1021 TCP for downloading configuration updates (TFTP and TFTP helper ports).

44 - I am unable to access the TriNet from within my IP range as the IP address is a default setting for public address. How do I set up a TriNet unit in a corporate network that has specific IP address or IP address range? How do I change the default IP address to the corporate address? Is it advisable?

If your network has DHCP enabled just connect your TriNet to your network. The TriNet will obtain an ip address from your local network. If DHCP is disabled or for better management you can configure a static ip address to your TriNet. Contact your network administrator and request to assign you a static IP address for your TriNet and configure the IP address as the WAN IP address on your TriNet. To configure your Static WAN IP address log on to the TriNet by connecting a PC to the one of the LAN ports of the TriNet and open a web browser go to http://192.168.24.1 and log on to the TriNet as user name admin and password iconnect. Click on TCP/IP settings on the left hand side menu then on WAN and LAN Settings and change the WAN configuration type to static and enter the ip address given to you by your network administrator in the box next to WAN IP address, enter the subnet mask given to your by your network administrator in the box next to WAN Subnet mask and enter the default gateway supplied by your network administrator in the box next to default gateway. Press apply on the bottom of the page then click on 5 System management on the left hand side menu and then on 5.4 Reboot and click on Reboot on the right side window. As soon as the unit reboots you should be able to start using your triNet.Your TriNet should go on-line. If your office has a firewall, the TriNet requires at least the following open ports: as 5060 thru 5068 UDP, 1976 thru 13120 UDP, 80 TCP for HTTP and 69 and 1021 TCP for downloading configuration updates (TFTP and TFTP helper ports).

45 - I have experienced difficulties with using the TriNet after I have successfully used it but changed to a different location. I have tried to login to make changes but the online light did not turn green?

This problem is related to the network environment of the new location. Make sure that network that you are connecting your TriNet is handing out DHCP IP address or you will need to statically assign an IP address to your TriNet. If your office has a firewall, the TriNet requires a number of open ports. Such as 5060 thru 5068 UDP, 1976 thru 13120 UDP, 80 TCP for HTTP and 69 and 1021 TCP for downloading configuration updates (TFTP and TFTP helper ports).

46 - I was able to use the USB phone but the ISP in my country has changed the server and a firewall now exists. Is it possible to assign a new port? Do I need to provide data to you? Is there another solution?

Some countries are blocking VOIP ports, we are currently working on a solution that will allow our USB softphone to work in these countries. Please write to us at info@iconnect-ltd.com so that we can provide you with potential fixes to this problem.
